My current top 10 favourite Makeup products

My fav products at the moment

Hi beauties!

I've been in the world of Beauty nearly 10 years now & have always been obsessed with Makeup, Skincare & anything beauty related, you name it, I've tried it :-)
So I thought what's better than writing reviews to give all you lovely people an insight to what's hot and what's not. I've been putting this off as I've been a bit nervous to be honest but I thought I've just got to do it, what's to loose?!
I recently worked at London Fashion Week at the Refuel Blogger event put on by Muse TV and New Look, and after speaking to some of you there and getting tips and advice I decided to get stuck right in.
The event was fantastic and I really enjoyed it, I don't think I've ever done so many people's Makeup in one day but I loved it!

So my first post is going to be telling you all what's my favourite 10 Makeup products at this current moment.

1. Nivea Express Hydration Primer
This is a relatively new product on the market. I have a 3 year old little boy so don't have lots of time on my hands so thought this combined moisturiser/primer is a great idea, when I first tried it I thought I wasn't too keen as it's quite a light texture almost like a serum and feels quite greasy when you put on your skin but I left it for 5 minutes & it was fine. My skin had soaked it up, maybe because it can be slightly dry sometimes, but my makeup went on nicely and stayed put too!

2. Chanel Perfection Lumiere
This long lasting foundation has an SPF10 and comes in 18 different shades. It gives really good coverage & a matte effect, which I personally prefer in a foundation. It glides on the skin very effortlessly and feels very lightweight.

3. Urban Decay Anti-Ageing Eyeshadow Primer
I've only been using this a couple of weeks or so but OMG, it is amazing! I've only tried eyeshadow primers a couple of times before and to be honest haven't been impressed so far but this has totally changed my mind. Its neutral coloured and quite thick consistency but once put on your eyelid blend in easily & first time I tried it, my eye makeup was still firmly in place 12 hours later.

4. Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay
I bought this around 4 months ago & have used it heaps. The 12 highly pigmented shadows are golden & brown tones, which I wear alot of. I love this palette where I travel a lot, it means I can use the lighter tones in the day, then create a more smokey effect in the evening. It comes with a mirror & eyeshadow brush which also has a blender at the other end.

5. MAC Fluidline in Rich Ground
This is actually a eyeliner but I use it for my brows. Its long wearing gel formula gives a soft look & gives my brows nice definition & a really nice finish. Its available in 7 shades & I apply with my Liz Earle brow brush which is featured next.

6. Liz Earle Brow & Eyeliner Brush
I only purchased this recently as again, saves time and space. Its double-ended with an angled brush for liner & brows. At one end & a brow comb at the other. I've got several other Liz Earle brushes & they are great, as I have to say I'm a big fan of the brand.

7. Loreal Super Liner Blackbuster
I love this liner. It gives a real dark prominent line, so if you want something a bit softer or not as visible I wouldn't go for this product. It is basically like a black felt tip marker pen & you just draw on your line.. Simple!

8. Dior show Iconic Overcurl Mascara
I purchased this in February for my birthday and I am in love with this mascara, I'm pretty sure its the best I've ever had! I'm quite particular about mascara's and have tried a lot but this one beats them all, hands down. I'm going to purchase another one soon, its available in brown too, which I have, I personally don't use it, but it's in my kit. The brush is amazing, slightly curved and really nice bristles that gives you a fabulous curl on your lashes, especially if
                                                      you layer it up.

9. CARGO Cosmetics Bronzer & Blusher
I'm going to count these as one product, as I got them within a summer essentials kit I bought from Cargo. I was drawn to the brand as it states a lot of their Makeup is waterproof.  The Bronzer comes in a large tin & I received the shade, Los Cabos in the blush, which is a pretty coral/peachy tone. They are long lasting but am yet to try them in water. I'm actually on holiday at the moment so will give you an update on how they do!

10. Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Lip Colour
My last product is my lippy! Although I have probably 100s of lipsticks, I usually always wear long lasting ones as they just don't budge. Where I'm busy working, dealing with a 3 year old & family life I don't have lots of time to keep applying lipstick so long stay ones are great. At the moment my favourite shade is grape juice, its is a browny shade, which again goes with the majority of colours. These sort of lip stains can be quite drying to your lips so just make sure you use a little bit of vaseline or lip conditioner at night.

I did my Makeup with all these products & took a photo for you all to see the finished look.

So I hope you all enjoyed reading this post and be sure to follow as I will keep you updated on reviews of products & new things launching in the beauty world.

Love Laura xxx
