Heidi Klein Swimwear & Accessories

Summer Fedora Hat by Heidi Klein

Hi Beauties!

Just before I went to Florida on my recent family holiday, Heidi Klein sent me one of her beautiful Fedora sun hats from the 2014 summer collection.
When it arrived I could instantly see how lovely it was, not your usual £10 sun hat that falls to pieces when you put it in your travel bag on the aeroplane.

Made from 100% natural Madagascan raffia and has a canvas trim with a luxurious branded gold buckle. It will make the perfect sun hat for me in Dubai, as when we move there in July the temperatures will be hitting 50 degrees.

Available from priced at £95 or directly from the store at Sloane Square.

I actually had the chance to interview Heidi, here's what she had today?

When did you first start designing?
I started creating swimwear designs just after we opened our first one-stop beachwear boutique in Notting Hill, London in 2002. After listening to what our customers were looking for – and realizing that we were not able to sell it to them - we decided to create our own styles and designs based on this crucial feedback.

Where does your inspiration for each collection come from?
For design and fit, our inspiration comes from customers who tell us what works, and what doesn’t work, for them. For each print, our inspiration comes from beautiful destinations all over the world. From places we have travelled ourselves to places we have yet to visit. Our brand identity is a global theme that caters to the well-travelled customer who seeks to look and feel gorgeous on holiday.

What is your favourite item that you've designed, which you like to wear?
I love wearing all my styles and don’t have a particular favourite. I’m often drawn to the classic nautical pieces of Sete and Abaco, and then contrast with the turquoise print of the Sao Paulo Rectangle bikini and Istanbul bandeau bikini. I like to cover up with a simple white shirt, like the Seville Pin Tuck shirt, which is ideal for the beach and easy to throw on when heading over to lunch.

Who's the most famous celebrity that you've spotted wearing your designs?
We’ve been lucky to have a host of fabulous celebrities wear our designs over the years, from Jennifer Anniston to Kate Moss.

In the length of time that you've been designing, what is your all time favourite?
My favourite pieces are the Nassau bow, its very James Bond and the classic maxi nautical dress which is great for a day to night look.

Love Laura xxx
